This week I saw the Winston Churchill drama starring Gary Oldman. His performance as the hair-brained and unpredictable Churchill was fantastic. The main attraction was Oldman's amazing representation of a man who's legacy has lived on through history.
My favorite scene was when he announced to his typist, Miss. Layton, that he would be leaving the bath "in a state of nature" and then proceeds to enter the hallway completely nude. What a guy. And then of course he goes on to rally the entire United Kingdom in their fight against fascism in the most oratorically elegant way.
Also worth noting is the incredible work done by the makeup artists in this movie (I believe they won an Oscar for this about 3 hours ago). They transformed the guy on the left into the guy on the right.
Now that's some serious war paint if you ask me. (OMG the pun there is painfully obvious and terrible, I'm so sorry but I just couldn't resist).
